Editorial standards

Last updated: 3 October 2026

These standards cover rpmbase.app guides, blog notes, calculators, and product pages. They exist so readers can tell general education apart from manufacturer requirements, user-entered records, and AI drafts.

Purpose

We publish practical car ownership content that supports a maintenance log: what to write down, how to calculate simple ownership numbers, and when to open the matching garage feature. We do not publish a vehicle catalog or model comparison database.

Sources and limits

Guides describe common habits and fields. They are not a substitute for your owner's manual, a workshop diagnosis, or local inspection rules. Interval examples on calculators are common starting points, not VIN-specific schedules.

We do not invent statistics, star ratings, or customer reviews. When we describe Free or Premium, we match the live product.

AI and drafts

Ask and related drafting features propose text from what you provide and from records you already saved. Nothing becomes a garage row until you confirm. Educational pages that mention AI state that limit clearly.

Updates and contact

Guides and notes show a published date, and an updated date when we revise substance. Corrections: support@rpmbase.app with the page URL and what should change.
